Flight of Challenge (365 Cards Day 89)

The 365 Cards challenge today is "Imagine This: Watermelon". You must use the colors of or an actual watermelon image in your card. I built a slice of watermelon out of paper...no stamps!
Credits:
White Cardstock (base of card) - Wausau
Green Paper - Sizzix
Red paper - DCWV
Drawn watermelon seeds and handwritten word SWEET ! - Sakura Micron Pigma pen
Slight pinkness in the layer next to the rind was added with a pink Prismacolor pencil.

I left the insides blank for now but I think it would be appropriate for a thank you card. I'm already on my second watermelon this season...but it is the end of the summer when the watermelons in NE Oregon from Hermiston ripen that the really GREAT ones hit the market. I think the ones we are getting now are from Mexico. I have taken to calling watermelon Chinese food as every lunch and dinner we had on our trip to China last fall ended with watermelon for dessert!

Flight of Challenge (365 Cards Day 88)

"Quite a Pair" is the title of the Day 88 challenge on 365 Cards blog. You had your choice of making an Anniversary Card or an Engagement Card. I decided on an Anniversary card. The front is on top and the inside on the bottom. It looks a little warped because I set the card down in a puddle of water and I'll have to put it under a book to get it to flatten out again! Don't you hate when that happens!

Flight of Challenge (365 Cards Day 87)

The "Eyes" Have It is the challenge at 365 Cards blog. The challenge was to use the word "eye" somewhere on your card. In case you can't read the fine print it says "From a bird's eye view..."
below the bird on the card.

Flight of Challenge (365 Cards Day 81)

Day 81 on 365 cards blog says "It's Hip to be Square". The challenge was to use 5 squares in your card. I sat here arranging and rearranging squares during the American Idol finale until I finally settled on this configuration. I was a Danny Gokey fan so I didn't really care who won and I have to admit I didn't even try to vote in the finals.

Flight of Challenge (CPS 116)

Here is my attempt of Card Positioning Systems Sketch 116. I'm using the same stamp I used on March 31, but this time I stamped it twice and cut out the eggs to use as an accent. Underneath the eggs if you look closely you can see the preprinted paper says, "babying pamper baby" which is what it appears the birds in the stamp are doing.

Cardstock- Wausau
Pninted papers - Swirly green - Sizzix, black and red layers - DCWV, lighter green layer - Hot Off The Press
Colored with asstd. Prismacolor pencils

Flight of Challenge (365 cards- Day 72)

It's Musical Monday on the 365 Cards blog.  You were supposed to use a sheet of music in your creation.  I have an old retired hymnal with the pages falling out so I used that.
Credits:
Stamp:  Unknown, but I've had it about 15 years so the company is probably out of business anyway! It reminds me of the sun on Kellogg's Raisin Bran.
Papers:  Gold: Stardream, Purples: Hot off the Press
Ribbon: Jo-Ann's
Dies: Spellbinders Ovals and Sizzix Sizzlets retired set "Girls are Weird"
Inks:  Ancient Page:Saffron, Colorbox: Gold, Brilliance: Graphite Black

Flight of Challenge (SFYTT May 2 and 365 Cards - Day 67)

Today I was able to combine 365 Cards "Think Pink" challenge with the May 2nd Sketch For You To Try from i{heart}2stamp blog.  The Stickles glitter glue and the jewels don't look sparkly at all in the picture.  I tried both the camera and the scanner and sparkles just weren't going to show up.  Drats!

Flight of Challenge (Rubbernecker Wacky Wed. #9)

The challenge over at Rubbernecker this week is to use your heat gun and "Heat It Up, Baby".
Immediately I got out the Rubbernecker Red Hot Chili Peppers and got them all colored up and heated up with clear sparkle embossing powder ... and there they smoldered for two days while I make myself sore putting in most of a vegetable garden. It is pouring down rain today so I picked up the peppers and proceeded to finish "Heating It Up, Baby"! (Outside of card is on top, inside is the bottom picture).

Credits:
