Flight of Challenge (Sparkle N Sprinkle October)

So... I have been getting around to the Sparkle N Sprinkle challenges for a long time, but never really got around to them.
I finally got "a round tuit".  You can see the challenge sketch to the right and my entry below.  In order to get the stamp and background papers to come out true to color it is a bit over exposed.  I tried photographing outside the house in the yard (which really ticked off the neighbor dog, but that doesn't take much!) but that didn't help any.

This card features Sparkle N Sprinkle products Stamp Set 418 Nesties Ornaments and Red Tomato Glitter Tinsel.

The Christmas ornament stamp was cut out using Spellbinders Nestabilities 2010 Heirloom Ornament die.  The tree was cut from a green flocked cardstock (unknown) using Sizzix Framelets Banners, Pennant Scallop.  I used the Sizzix Big Shot to cut both.

The stamps were stamped with Memento ink, Lady bug Red and Tuxedo Black.

I cut and "sculpted" the Poinsettias using Nellie Snellen Floral Punches, 012, 013, 014 using Neenah Solar white card stock. (I stamped on that card stock too.)

The stamp and punched poinsettias were colored using Copic markers.  I used G07, Y13, R24, R27 and R29.

The card base is from American Crafts Christmas "Treetops Glisten". The tree trunk is from a Basic Grey basics kraft paper pad.

The red gems are from KaiserCraft.  The star gem is from Darice.  The ornament is "hanging" from a piece of Aunt Lydia's Crochet Thread colored with Copics.  Other than my trusty Beacon 3 in 1 glue I think that completes my product list.

  5. Margaret, it's GREAT seeing you again! Your card is amazing. Photographing is difficult sometimes. Glitter is especially difficult to capture, but you've done a marvelous job! What an inventive, imaginative way of using the SNS sketch! Your card is amazing. I'm inspired - now I need to try to get to the sketch this month.
