Back on June 8th I posted the top front of this card for a Card Positioning System challenge. Having a friend turn 50 this week I went ahead and finished up the inside of the card. It features a Happy Birthday (cut in half) stamp from Rubbernecker and stamps in the Basic Grey Build-a-Clown set. The AARP letters were cut out of the front of an AARP bulletin.
Hello around the world on World Card Making Day! I've been on a blog vacation but an event such as this "required" that I end the vacation and make a card for today. Today's card feature one Magenta stamp, stamped several times on white glossy cardstock colored with a random applications of a wide variety of alcohol ink colors. Then I cut out the stamped images, cut them up and used varying depths of foam tape to apply to the black card for a "really" dimensional card. It is SO dimensional I had blurring of the photo with both the scanner and the camera! The HELLO was cut using Sizzix Sizzlets Script dies. Hope everyone around the world is celebrating the day by making a card!
Here is a 3 for 1 card. First it is for the Card positioning Systems Sketch challenge # 128 (see top photo). Next it qualifies for this week's Pile It On!(#10) - No patterned paper. Finally it qualifies for Rubbernecker Wacky Wednesday #23 - Flowers. I built it so the little tabs on the outside right fit into slots on the larger left tab.
WooHoo! I got my "giddy-up" going and finished an entire week at 365 Cards. Today, Day 161, the challenge is called Cool Collage. The goal is to cover every part of your card with something, no blank spaces allowed.
365 Cards Day 160 challenge was Lovely Lace. You could use any amount of lace on your card, as long as you used some lace. I once again pulled a page from by Monet Year In A Box Calendar. Today we are in the poppy fields. The little girl with her lace apron is from Delafield Rubber stamps. The poppies are from a stamp I carved from Nasco Safety Cut. Coloring was done with Prismacolor Pencils.
I'm on a roll. It is Thursday and I'm doing Thursday's challenge on 365 Cards, Day 159 Setting The Scene- Indoors. I think the kitchen definitely qualifies as indoors. It took no time at all to create the card. First I stamped the stove (Stampa Barbara) on the white card stock using black Memories ink. Then I masked the stove and stamped the wallpaper border (origin???) over and over across the top of the card using Coral Red Ancient Page Ink. Next I cut and glued on the red and white checked paper which was once the liner of a box lunch to serve as the floor. I then drew in the chair rail and boards using a black Micron Pigma Pen by Sakura. I stamped the Pillsbury Dough Boy (Stamp Camp) on white card stock, colored in his eyes and hat symbol with a light blue gel pen, and cut him out. I attached him with foam tape so he is popped out. I printed the sentiment on the computer and cut it out using a McGill label punch, layering it onto a scrap of red paper before taping to the card. Quick as that I was done!
365 Cards Day 158 is today so I'm finally caught up! The challenge: What's your Sign?, make sure there is a sign on your card. Obviously I thought of my Ziggy looking at a billboard stamp(Stampendous). The message is from Viva Las Vegastamps! The grass came from ??? and with a little masking I added the tree in the background (Stamp Francisco(Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers). A little coloring with Prismacolor Pencils and stenciling with Colorbox ink and I was done!
